To Lucid Dream
There are many ways to lucid dream and finding what works best
for you really will be about trial and error. Here are a few
pointers to help you out.
There are many different ways to lucid dream. One thing to
always remember is that what works for one person to lucid
dream will not necessarily work for everyone. Lucid dreaming
is a technique and can take time to learn and become good act.
There are many ways to make lucid dreaming happen and it is a
matter of trying the different ways and seeing which one works
best for you. Over time you will develop ways and may even
change some of these suggestions to fit your needs. Becoming
familiar with all the ways that lucid dreaming can happen will
make you more versatile at it and you will always have a
backup plan when your usual ways are not working.
Prior to learning to lucid dream you will want to begin
writing your dreams down, creating a dream journal. Doing this
will help you to begin to remember the dreams you are having,
you cannot lucid dream if you cannot even remember the dreams
you’re in. Keeping a dream journal also helps you to start
documenting symbols and reoccurring themes that are taking
place in your dreams. This will help when you are lucid
dreaming. You will have questions readily available that you
will want to ask and find out about.
Always stay relaxed prior to going to sleep and while
dreaming. Once you become conscious in your dream you may
become excited or nervous and this may make you stop lucid
dreaming or for you to wake up. Stay calm and begin repeating
to yourself that you want to stay lucid. While doing this
either look at your hands or grab onto something close to you.
Making a connection in the dream will keep you in the dream
and take your focus off the fact that you are lucid dreaming
for a moment. It will also help to calm you down.
Once you are familiar with lucid dreaming you can begin trying
out other techniques like:
MILD which is used when you have just awoken from a dream and
want to reenter it. Remember as much as you can about the
dream, stay relaxed, and visualize re-entering your dream
WILD is used when you are awake and go directly into a dream.
Again stay relaxed, begin repeating that you are dreaming,
begin walking down stairs or through doors to your dream, and
then you will enter your dream. This is more difficult to do
and will take more practice. Already well versed in lucid
dreaming will make this easier and clearer.
WBTB is when you wake and go back to bed. You will need to set
your alarm for a few hours earlier then you would normally get
up. When you awaken go do something related to lucid dreaming
like reading about it, going online and surfing about it,
anything that has to do with lucid dreaming. When you go back
to bed your head will be filled with lucid dreaming and will
make entering a lucid dream much easier.
Remember to have fun with your lucid dreaming. When you become
uptight about it or want it to happen too much the lucid
dreaming will not happen. If you are having a problem lucid
dreaming or cannot make it happen. Then again, let it go, stop
trying it may happen when you least expect it. The more
relaxed and open you are the better the chance you have of a
lucid dream occurring.
Lucid dreaming can be a fun, intuitive, learning experience.
The more relaxed you are and open to allowing lucid dreaming
to happen the better the chance you will have of a lucid dream
occurring. Using any of the above techniques or creating ones
that work best for you will make your lucid dreams occur more
easily and quickly.
