Lucid Dreaming Power Supplements.

Occasionally there are supplements that you can take to increase your ability to lucid dream.  Here are a few that will improve your ability to dream and to lucid dream.

What many people may not know is that there are actually different foods and supplements that you can take to increase the power of your dreams.  Certain foods seem to increase brain power and the ability to lucid dream.  If you have been looking for a way to increase the number of dreams and lucid dreams you are having, and then trying some of these foods and supplements might do the trick.  You should always follow the directions on any of the vitamins, minerals, or herbs that you take.  Taking of them improperly could make you sick or cause you other problems.  Learning about the vitamins, minerals, and herbs first would probably be a smart choice so that you know what you are taking and that you are not allergic to any of them or have any other health conditions that would negatively affect you by their use.  Many herbs can be addicting so taking those carefully and choosing when to use them for lucid dreaming should be a priority.  However, there is a list of all of these below to help you decide which will be best for you and your lucid dreaming needs. 

One of the reasons that foods work is because during our REM sleep, protein-synthesis is happening, which increases your body's need for amino acids.  There is a neurotransmitter that is used during REM sleep and it is composed of Acetylcholine.  Acetylcholine is made of B-Choline and vitamin B-5.  Thus increasing these will also increase our ability to dream.  Here is additional vitamins that will increase your ability to dream, they are:

  • Vitamin B-12

  • Folic acid, vitamin B-9

  • Methionine

  • Serine

  • Vitamin B-6

  • Niacin, vitamin B-3

  • Vitamin C

  • Also, increasing your Serotonin, Dopamine, Melatonin, and Norepinephrine will increase the REM neurotransmitters.

  • There are depressants such as alcohol, tobacco, and coffee that can inhabit the necessary vitamins we need to dream.  However, when taken in the right dose, these will actually give you very vivid, clear, and easy to recall dreams.

There are also some herbs that can be taken to increase to dreams and dream lucidity.  They should be taken as directed and can be taken in combination to increase our REM sleep and lucidity.  However, there are different ways to take them like in tea or in your pillow, or you may need to smoke it.  So follow the directions because some can be dangerous and lethal if taken incorrectly.  These herbs are:

  • Valerian

  • Mugwort

  • Mullein

  • Kava Kava

  • Dittany of Crete

  • St. Johns Wort

  • Calea Zacatechichi

  • Salvia Divinorum

  • Scutellaria Indica

  • Licorice Root

  • Vervain

  • Jasmine

  • Honeysuckle

  • Datura

  • Bee Pollen

  • Catnip

  • Hops

  • Scullcap

  • Mimosa

  • Lavender

  • Damiana

  • Withania Somnifera

  • Passionflower

  • Chamomile

  • Cardamom

  • Gotu Kola

  • Ginkgo Biloba

  • Ibogaine

  • Verbena

  • Rose

  • Cinnamon

  • Marigold

  • Nutmeg

  • Peppermint

  • Holly

  • Yarrow

  • Anise

Lastly here are a list of some known foods that can increase your lucidity also and give you clearer, more in depth dreams.  The reason these foods work is because of the vitamins and minerals found in them.  These are good to take right before bed to induce lucid dreams and they are:

  • Milk and other dairy products.

  • pickles

  • mustard

  • fresh fruit juice

  • lettuce

  • bananas

  • popcorn

  • fish

  • ice cream

  • pistachio nuts

Being able to increase the number of dreams you have and how often you have lucid dreams can be a powerful way to learn more about yourself and your subconscious thoughts.  Having a clear, lucid dream will make the dream more interesting and you will learn so much more from it.  Trying these different foods and supplements to do this is going to be your best bet, especially when trying to use all natural ways.  However, just keep in mind that even though these are natural ways to increase your dream lucidity, there can still be dangers and checking the vitamins, minerals, and herbs carefully will keep you safe and ensure you have a good experience.
