Is There a
Connection Between Dreams and Intelligence?
Dreams enable us to gaze deep within our own intellect, to
find out the Enigma of Man. However, unless we dedicate
ourselves and apportion time to operate with the connotation
of dreams and energies, they always will stay as unwelcome and
weird phenomena.
This is the reason our intellect has to dream, as dreams are a
font of wisdom assisting us in the method of discharging
unnecessary rubbish. Dreams are presented to us to save us
from lassitude and oblivion.
Earlier articles have compared the intellect to a mirror
reproducing anything that fixates it. In dreams what are
reproduced are the beliefs and sentiments of our positive and
negative objectives and encounters. It is indeed in the mirror
of the intellect that true cleansing and insight occur, as we
should become aware of what emerges on the upper level of our
intellect. The mindful impacts emanating from a dream indeed
have a significant part to perform in the overall enlightening
process, and every dream, every sign enhances this process, as
divine dream work considers the delicate cleansing process of
the complete man. Dreams about cleansing are presented to
those who wish to arouse our lasting and divine witnesses. To
carry that out, we should join them in our "common" phase of
self-awareness.
Hence, we should become alert to our unconscious qualities
that require change. In the absence of this, our ego is unable
to persist with this trip.
This sort of religious activity in itself bares the intellect
to the pressures and insights flowing in from the lasting
witness (read Regarding the Enigma of Man, sections one to
four). This is the foremost means of entry, the "key"
unlocking the gate of Poseidon’s secretive citadel in which
are accumulated all the earlier and current experiences, all
the apprehensions and tensions incarcerated since a long, long
time. Those unconscious misgivings and reservations remain
hopelessly in the black depths of darkness waiting for the
opportune moment for the blaze of awareness to infiltrate them
and transport them to the glow of awareness. As a result of
these subtle processes, the salvaged or "fished out" clogged
energies drift on the surface of dreams held captive by our
self-aware ego. To enable us comprehend their significance,
they assume, in dreams, the form of powerful personal and
universal signs and models. The ego should treat these with
delicacy, insight and sensitivity, in order that their
connotation becomes lucid and enlightening.
Initially, these kinds of dreams are generally felt as
nightmares as our awareness has to rearrange and concentrate
its mind on the dream work’s internal dynamics. With,
unfathomable, phantasmagoric and irrational dreams, we must
attempt to concentrate our attention and employ our sixth
sense to comprehend the illogical within ourselves. Therefore,
we should not disregard dream sequences that may have nothing
to do with one another or seem absurd. It actually doesn’t
count if the start of a dream does not complement what comes
up next. Not unlike a jigsaw puzzle, we must employ our sixth
sense to salvage the "seed thought" and significance of each
section of our dreams. Well, the development of the "seed
thoughts" and "significance" is vital, and it is of no
consequence if our instinct attaches different signs or
significance to dreams.
What is of consequence is the effort put in by our intellect
to exhibit a fresh dimension. Our ego should focus within
itself, in the quiet space within Self, where the driving
compelling presence of the acumen of the heart wields control.
Therefore, if dreams initially seem puzzling, it is due to
these kinds of dreams discharging the tensions and strained
energies clogged in our intellect. To free tension in dreams,
the signs are enlarged in order to create an impression and
highlight particular areas of an issue. An additional basis
for troubling dreams is to enable us become aware of the
quality of our pressure or nervousness. We must employ our
instincts to study the strange signs in our dreams, striving
to "value" their significance.
Sixth sense helps us in "sensing" what takes place in our
intellect, as akin to a mirror, it reproduces what happens
inside us. This is the way, from our lasting witness, we
obtain some realistic answers and explanations. But, the
trading of instinctive thoughts and sentiments between our
intellect and ego happens in case our ego is receptive to
transformation. If we are keen to operate with the signs, then
an extraordinary surge of energy flows from our lasting
witness, permitting us to comprehend what we should do to
eliminate the problem, and change what needs to alter. |
